Ambulance Driver and Hospital Driver

Solid Rock Hospital (Medical and Dental clinic) is a privately owned and an ultra-modern Hospital with 26 beds located at No. 6 Akinsanya Street Ojodu Lagos. The Hospital was founded on June 21, 1992. It is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with Registration number: RC. 219842.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Ambulance Driver / Hospital Driver

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from the hospital, referral centres, and other designated locations.
• Drive other hospital vehicles for official assignments as directed by management.
• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of patients in collaboration with clinical staff.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and readiness for use.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Comply with traffic regulations, hospital policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Respond promptly to authorised transportation requests, including emergencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate for assigned vehicles.
• At least 3 years of driving experience; ambulance or hospital driving experience is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads and traffic regulations.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and first aid.
• Must be reliable, punctual, courteous, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
