Job Summary

• We are seeking a dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support the classroom teacher in providing a safe, engaging and effective learning environment for pupils.
• The successful candidate will assist with classroom activities, lesson preparation, pupil supervision and general classroom management while supporting the academic and developmental needs of pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering classroom lessons and learning activities.
• Support pupils during individual and group learning activities.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching aids, worksheets and other instructional materials.
• Help maintain an organised, clean and stimulating classroom environment.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, break periods, school activities and transitions between classes.
• Provide additional support to pupils who may require individual attention.
• Assist with marking classwork, homework and other learning activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Monitor pupils’ behaviour and support the implementation of the school’s classroom management procedures.
• Help maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance and pupils’ work.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils while under their supervision.
• Support pupils in developing good behaviour, social skills, independence and positive learning habits.
• Assist with school events, extracurricular activities and other programmes as required.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding pupils, parents and school-related information.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff.
• Perform other duties assigned by the class teacher or school management.
