Job Summary

  • The Brand Manager is a strategic, high-visibility role responsible for elevating, protecting, and aligning two distinct yet interconnected pillars: the company’s corporate brand and the Managing Director’s (MD) personal/thought-leadership brand.
  • The role will be responsible for crafting cohesive narratives, manage multi-channel reputation, coordinate executive visibility (speaking engagements, PR, LinkedIn/social media), and ensure that the MD’s public persona reinforces the core values, trust, and market authority of the business.

Corporate Brand Management:

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Develop and execute comprehensive brand guidelines, visual identity, and messaging frameworks that differentiate the company in the market.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with other internal departments to ensure uniform brand tone across all customer touchpoints.
  • Campaign Execution: Plan, launch, and monitor integrated marketing and advertising campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels.
  • Market & Competitor Research: Track industry trends, customer sentiment, and competitor movements to spot new brand-growth opportunities.

MD Personal & Executive Brand Management:

  • Executive Positioning & Thought Leadership: Build and manage a strategic personal branding roadmap for the MD (focusing on platforms like LinkedIn, industry keynotes, op-eds, podcasts, and media interviews).
  • Content Creation & Ghostwriting: Draft, curate, and polish executive communications, including thought-leadership articles, LinkedIn posts, speeches, whitepapers, and corporate vision messages in the MD’s authentic voice.
  • PR & Media Relations: Coordinate executive PR opportunities, manage media briefings, and position the MD as an industry authority on key business and market issues.
  • Reputation & Crisis Management: Monitor digital footprint, public perception, and stakeholder sentiment for both the company and the MD, proactively mitigating reputational risks.

Synergistic Alignment & Governance:

  • Brand Synergy: Ensure the MD’s personal narrative naturally amplifies and humanizes the corporate brand without overshadowing or misaligning with company values.
  • Event & Activation Management: Coordinate high-profile corporate events, industry panels, award submissions, and executive photo/video shoots.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs)—such as brand sentiment, share of voice, digital engagement, and PR reach—providing regular metric reports to leadership.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Exceptional Writing & Editorial Skills: Ability to write persuasively in multiple tones (authoritative corporate vs. authentic executive voice).
  • Digital & Social Savvy: Deep understanding of LinkedIn strategy, media platforms, and digital listening/analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meltwater, Hootsuite).
  • Discretion & Emotional Intelligence: High level of maturity, confidentiality, and diplomacy when working directly with a senior executive.
  • Project Management: Ability to juggle simultaneous corporate campaigns and high-priority executive requests under tight deadlines.
