Support the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on extrusion production lines to ensure maximum equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assist in setup and calibration of extrusion machinery to meet production specifications.
Monitor equipment during production runs and address operational issues promptly.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on PVC and PPR extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and work orders.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
Identify spare requirements and log usage.
Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced technicians.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and 5S methodology.
Requirements
Education: HND, OND, or Trade Test Certification in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Technical: Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Advantage: Experience with PVC, PPR, or plastic extrusion equipment.
