The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex is a product of a concise and comprehensive decision of the Western state under the leadership of Brigadier Adeyinka Adebayo. The committee's inauguration was on January 15, 1971, and it was comprised of the working party and Professor Hezekiah A. Oluwasanmi; the then vice-chancellor of the University of Ife came up with a working plan of having a Teaching Hospital that would comprise a primary hospital, the nucleus of the teaching hospitals to be called Central hospital, together with a conglomeration of other state hospitals.

Job Title: Health Assistant

Location: Ile-Ife, Osun

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess five (5) Credit passes in any subject including English Language and Mathematics in the WASSCE/GCE/NECO.
  • In addition, Candidates must have successfully completed a two (2) year training programme in a School of Health Technology or any other approved Health Institution and obtained a National Certificate for Health Assistant Cadres.
  • Paramedic Certificate will be an added advantage.

Conditions of Service:

  • These are similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health Institutions in Nigeria.
