Job Title: HVAC Technician / Engineer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician/Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service air-conditioning, refrigeration, cold room, and ventilation systems.
• The successful candidate should be technically competent, safety-conscious, customer-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service HVAC, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
• Install and service split, cassette, ducted, VRF/VRV, chiller, cold room, walk-in chiller/freezer, and commercial refrigeration systems.
• Check refrigerant levels, perform leak detection, pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant recovery, and charging where required.
• Diagnose and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, solenoid valves, fan motors, thermostats, controllers, and other refrigeration components.
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical and control systems using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and recommend necessary repairs, replacements, or improvements.
• Respond promptly to client complaints, equipment breakdowns, and emergency service calls.
• Prepare service reports and provide technical recommendations when required.
• Work effectively with technicians, engineers, facility management teams, and clients.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician/Engineer, preferably with commercial or industrial systems.
• Strong knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration, cold room, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use HVAC and refrigeration testing and diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work on-site and respond to service calls when required.
