Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef skilled in preparing authentic Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will ensure excellent food quality, consistent taste, attractive presentation, and high standards of kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare authentic Indian dishes, including biryani, curries, dal, naan, roti, tandoori dishes, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
Prepare ingredients, marinades, sauces, and spice blends using appropriate Indian cooking techniques.
Maintain consistency in taste, food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
Assist with menu planning and ensure timely meal preparation.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor ingredient stock, minimise food waste, and report supply needs.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques.
Ability to prepare a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes.
Good understanding of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock management.
Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
Willingness to work full-time in Ilorin.
Salary
N120,000 - N180,000 monthly
