We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Audit and Control Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic audits across all departments.
  • Review operational and financial transactions.
  • Test compliance with policies, SOPs and approval limits.
  • Review customer onboarding and KYC controls.
  • Audit loan approval, booking and disbursement processes.
  • Review investment transactions and liquidations.
  • Test bank and GL reconciliations.
  • Review system access and segregation of duties.
  • Conduct surprise checks where appropriate.
  • Identify control weaknesses and process gaps.
  • Document audit findings and recommendations.
  • Track management's implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Conduct follow-up audits.
  • Investigate suspected control breaches or irregularities as authorized.
  • Review procurement and expenditure controls.
  • Assess adequacy of documentation and record retention.
  • Prepare periodic internal audit reports.
  • Escalate significant control weaknesses to Management.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 4-6 years experience.
