  • In this role, you will act as a key bridge between our utility clients and technology team, overseeing network mapping, asset data accuracy, and performance analysis. You will also lead executive-level client presentations, communicating insights on network performance, asset health, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Your work will enhance network visibility and asset management across critical infrastructure, including injection substations (ISS), feeders, distribution transformers (DTs), poles, and meters. By combining technical expertise with strong analytical and communication skills, you will help utility clients make data-driven decisions, optimize network performance, improve operational efficiency, and reduce technical and commercial losses.

What You'll Do
Network Mapping & Asset Management:

  • Digitize, update, and maintain accurate GIS data for electricity distribution assets, including HT/LT lines, distribution transformers (DTs), and injection substations (ISS)
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure reliable asset information across field operations and GIS platforms

Spatial Analysis & Loss Reduction:

  • Leverage GIS tools to analyze feeder performance, customer distribution, network efficiency, and ATC&C losses
  • Develop spatial analyses and dashboards to identify high-loss areas, network inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement
  • Translate technical findings into actionable insights and recommendations to improve network performance

Network Planning & Modelling:

  • Collaborate with planning and operations teams to assess feeder loading, voltage drops, and network expansion opportunities using GIS-integrated power systems tools
  • Support network optimization initiatives, including distribution line routing, transformer placement, and load balancing

Client Engagement & Executive Presentations:

  • Lead executive-level presentations to utility clients, communicating insights on network performance, asset management, operational efficiency, and loss reduction
  • Develop compelling, executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendations that translate complex technical findings into clear business implications

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between utility clients, internal technology teams, field operations, and commercial stakeholders
  • Coordinate data collection, validation, and integration across field teams and enterprise GIS platforms

Documentation & Performance Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, GIS databases, asset inventories, and data updates
  • Prepare periodic performance reports and management dashboards tracking operational KPIs, asset data quality, and project progress

Professional & Technical Strengths:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in electricity generation and distribution
  • Experience in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Utility Network)
  • Solid understanding of electrical power distribution principles, network topologies (radial, ring, mesh), and equipment ratings
  • Experience working with GPS/GNSS handheld data collectors and mobile GIS data collection tools (e.g., CAIMS, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Proactive and self-driven, comfortable working in fast-moving environments where things evolve quickly
  • Strong client-facing presence with the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly.

They see your structured profile as it stands at the moment you apply, plus your CV if you have one attached. That snapshot is frozen - if you edit your profile next week, this application still shows what you sent today. Your salary expectation is never sent unless you choose to include it.
Yes. The match figure is for you, not for them - Beacon Power Services does not see it. The apply button works the same regardless of your match percentage.
Because boards rewrite titles when they republish. All copies of this vacancy are the same job at the same employer with the same closing date. We show the employer's own wording and list the rest above so you know you have already seen it.
It appears in your application tracker straight away. Because this application is handled here rather than on an external site, you will see the status change as Beacon Power Services moves it - viewed, shortlisted, interviewing or declined.
