Job Title: Nail Technician

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Reports To: Spa Manager

Main Function

• The Nail Technician provides professional manicure, pedicure and nail enhancement services that promote nail health, personal grooming and client satisfaction, in line with the spa’s hygiene and customer care standards.

Role Responsibilities

• Nail Services: Perform manicures, pedicures, gel polish application, nail extensions, acrylic or builder gel enhancements, nail art, infills and safe removals within the technician’s training and competence.
• Client Consultation: Assess nail condition, client preferences and potential contraindications; recommend appropriate services and explain treatment options.
• Customised Treatments: Shape, buff and finish nails to a high standard, adapting designs, products and techniques to individual needs.
• Client Education: Advise clients on nail and cuticle care, maintenance, safe product use and suitable follow-up appointments.
• Hygiene and Safety: Clean and disinfect reusable tools and workstations, sterilise instruments where required, use single-use items appropriately and follow infection-prevention procedures.
• Quality Assurance: Check finish, durability and client comfort; address concerns professionally and refer suspected nail infections or other conditions for appropriate assessment.
• Record Keeping and Teamwork: Maintain client treatment records, monitor product and stock usage, and coordinate appointments with reception and spa management.

Experience/Qualification

• Professional training or certification in nail technology, manicures and pedicures.
• At least 2 years of practical experience as a Nail Technician in a spa, salon or beauty studio.
• Proficiency in gel polish, nail extensions, nail shaping, nail art and safe product removal; advanced nail enhancement training is an advantage.

• Dexterity and Creativity: Excellent hand–eye coordination, precision, colour sense and attention to detail.
• Time Management: Ability to manage bookings and deliver consistently high-quality treatments within scheduled times.
