Job Title: Pelletizing Operator

Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Pelletizing Operator to lead our pelletizing line team in Ogere, Ogun State.
  • The ideal candidate will be hands-on, highly familiar with plastic recycling operations, and capable of driving efficiency, minimizing material waste, and maintaining high continuous output against production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and guide the pelletizing production team on assigned shifts to maintain operational efficiency and focus.
  • Machine Operation: Safe and effective setup, running, and continuous monitoring of the pelletizing machine.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to site safety protocols while feeding materials and operating equipment.
  • Waste Minimization: Monitor production closely to reduce material loss, scrap, and operational downtime.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform quick initial troubleshooting of operational issues prior to technical escalation; report maintenance needs promptly and follow up through resolution.
  • Operational Discipline: Complete daily attendance clock-ins and ensure accurate logging of shift production outputs.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years direct hands-on experience in a plastic recycling factory setting.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of pelletizing processes and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine machine issues independently before calling in technicians.
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and willingness to work rotating shifts.

Shift Structure:

  • Monday – Friday: Rotating shift system:
    • Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Saturday: Weekly rotation (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Guaranteed Compensation: Up to N150,000 Gross per month (determined by agreed performance targets).
  • Performance Bonus: Quarterly bonus of up to 100% of one month's guaranteed gross base salary upon achieving an average of 90% of the quarterly production target (measured in kg of pellets produced per shift).
  • Additional Benefits:
    • Health Insurance (HMO coverage)
    • Daily complimentary meal on duty
    • Onsite accommodation provided when on duty.
