Job Title: Pen Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and hands-on Pen Manager to oversee daily poultry pen operations and ensure optimal bird health, welfare, and productivity.
• The ideal candidate will supervise pen activities, maintain hygiene and biosecurity standards, and ensure farm procedures are followed to support efficient poultry production.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily activities within assigned poultry pens
• Monitor bird health, feeding, and water consumption
• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene of pens
• Supervise pen attendants and assign daily tasks
• Monitor mortality and report unusual bird behaviour or health concerns promptly
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by farm management or veterinary team
• Maintain accurate records of feed intake, mortality, medication, and pen performance
• Ensure strict compliance with farm biosecurity and safety procedures
• Support bird stocking and de-stocking operations
• Ensure proper environmental conditions including ventilation, temperature, and lighting

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field (added advantage)
• 2–4 years experience in poultry or livestock management
• Good knowledge of poultry operations and pen management
• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Ability to work independently and manage teams effectively
• Physically fit and willing to work in a farm environment
• Proactive, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
