We are seeking a qualified, licensed, and customer-oriented Community Pharmacist to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing professional pharmaceutical care, counseling patients on the safe use of medicines, and ensuring compliance with relevant pharmaceutical regulations and standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong pharmaceutical knowledge, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and safely.
Review prescriptions to ensure appropriate dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient safety
Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, possible side effects, dosage, and storage.
Recommend suitable over-the-counter medications for minor ailments within the scope of professional practice.
Monitor medication inventory, check expiry dates, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled medicines, sales, and other pharmacy transactions.
Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution.
Current registration and valid practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
3 years post NYSC experience in community or retail pharmacy
Strong knowledge of prescription medications, OTC products, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
