Job type: Full-time (Onsite)

The role

  • The Production Pharmacist is the licensed pharmaceutical authority on the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities
What you will do:

  • Supervise and execute compounding of IV solutions (Normal Saline, Dextrose, Ringer’s Lactate and specialty products), including batch calculations, tonicity and osmolarity adjustment and pH control

  • Oversee in-line sterile filtration, Form-Fill-Seal pouch production and sealing, and in-process checks
  • Manage autoclave terminal sterilisation cycles, including F0 monitoring, heat penetration and temperature distribution compliance
  • Initiate, complete and review Batch Manufacturing Records in real time with full Good Documentation Practice
  • Work with IPQA on line clearance, deviation investigation, Out-of-Specification results and CAPA
  • Enforce CIP/SIP procedures, hygiene, safety and raw material reconciliation on your shift
  • Contribute to SOP development, process improvement and the reduction of batch rejects and leakers

What you will be measured on:

  • Zero batch failures from endotoxin contamination or formulation error, complete and contemporaneous batch records, and consistent daily throughput on your shift.

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • B.Pharm or Pharm.D with a current, valid Pharmacy Council of Nigeria licence
  • NYSC completed
  • A minimum of two years’ hands-on experience in sterile liquid, injectable or IV fluid manufacturing (candidates with strong pharmaceutical manufacturing experience outside sterile products will also be considered)
  • Working knowledge of WHO GMP, NAFDAC manufacturing requirements and Good Documentation Practice
  • Practical understanding of aseptic processing, cleanroom classification, sterile filtration and terminal sterilisation
  • Familiarity with BP, USP or IP monographs for large volume parenterals
  • Experience investigating deviations and OOS results and closing CAPAs
  • A rigorous, detail-driven approach, and the confidence to stop a line when something is not right
  • Comfortable working shifts and based in, or willing to relocate to, Kaduna

Useful but not essential:

  • Experience with Form-Fill-Seal or Blow-Fill-Seal technology
  • Exposure to validation activities (process, cleaning, sterilisation)
  • Knowledge of water for injection and pure water systems
  • Hausa language skills

What we offer

  • A senior technical role at a critical point in the company’s growth
  • A competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Exposure to a full sterile manufacturing operation and to the specialty product launches ahead
  • A professional, structured working environment with clear accountability
