We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Ramp Coordinator

Location: Kano

Responsibilities

• Ensure coordination of aircraft turnaround functions (Deplaning, Aircraft cleaning, offloading of baggage/ cargo, Fueling, Lavatory / Portable water servicing, Boarding, Loading of baggage etc).
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures as laid down in the Ground Operations manual.
• Cooperate with crew and engineering to cover technical requirement if needed.
• Provide complete flight supervision to flights in a shift.
• Effective use of ramp equipment for quick turnaround of aircraft.
• Ensure that mandatory documents like Load and Trim Sheet, passenger manifest etc., are put on board the aircraft and their significance.
• Ensure that procedures are followed for the carriage of arms and ammunition, dead bodies, DGR etc. (DGR to be dealt separately as part of the Basic training in Load and Trim and at least 5 programmed hours to be dedicated to this topic exclusively).
• Before loading, visually inspect the hold for damage that can affect the load capacity.
• Do baggage reconciliation at baggage hall before loading into the aircraft.
• Supervise offloading and loading of baggage, cargo, mail on turnaround aircraft.
• Other duties that may be assigned as required by the operations.
• Monitor the offload of the aircraft and document the offload and report any variance to the incoming UCM/CPM/LDM via email to the customer airline.
• Stubbing/ count of passengers on board.
• Effective use of ramp equipment for quick turnaround of aircraft.
• Ensure crew requirement are met regarding layover arrangements if necessary.
• Ensure secure, safe, punctual handling of passengers, baggage, crew as applicable by organizing and controlling the terminal operations. 
• Maintain the station log, recording all flights movement and pertinent detail, monitor staff attendance, overtime recording.
• Plan and execute work schedule to accommodate expected operations. 
• Monitor the preparation and completion of all flights and aircrafts documentation and ensure all legal and safety requirements are complied with, and that integrity of such documentation is observed.
• Confirm the transit load with details including location, planned ULD position and bulk compartment, and will report any variance to Load controller which may affect the necessary change and report to the airline if it is in variance with the airline procedures.

Requirements

• OND in relevant field (B.SC/HND may apply).
• 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Mandatory job-specific training and induction (e.g. Aircraft Turnaround Training, DGR Awareness etc)
• Excellent presentation skills (both oral and written). 
• Must exhibit the ability to coordinate and supervise efficiently under pressure.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
