Job Title: Mechanical Fitter / Technician

Job Summary

  • A mechanical fitter assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery, plant equipment, and mechanical components according to precise technical specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Installation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to fit and align mechanical parts.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, disassemble faulty equipment, and replace worn components.
  • Tool Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
  • Fabrication: Cut, shape, weld, and drill metal parts when adjustments are required.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow strict site safety regulations, use protective gear, and maintain a clean workspace

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, HNDin mechanical engineering or a trade test Equivalent
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Process Plant maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of rotary machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and engineering drawings.
  • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
