Location: Jos, Plateau

Responsibilities

  • Cultivates the land for planting i.e. Disc ploughing, Disc Harrowing and ridging.
  • Carry out planting activities.
  • Planting of crop and pasture at the appropriate time
  • Hay making i.e. mowing, raking and baling
  • Carry out silage harvesting.
  • Responsible for the compaction of silage inside silage pits.
  • Maize threshing
  • Carry out the crop management practices (fertilizer, herbicide and insecticide application).
  • Trailing silage and hay to a storage area.
  • Reports tractors/equipment faults to the supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum of a secondary school leaving certificate is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tractor driving
  • Must possess a valid tractor driving licence and trade test licence.
  • Must be able to operate machinery and equipment
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Good communication effectively.
