Job Description

• New Material Nigeria Company Ltd, a manufacturing company specializing in the production of fibre cement boards, is seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Welder to join its maintenance and technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and metal repair works on machinery, equipment, and structural components.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on metal parts and equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and welding specifications where necessary.
• Inspect completed welding jobs to ensure quality, strength, and safety.
• Comply with the company’s health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/technical school certificate or relevant vocational training.
• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of arc welding and other relevant welding techniques.
• Ability to operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
