  • Bring relevant experience in container-terminal operations, yard or vessel planning, dispatching, equipment control or a closely related operational function.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of container-terminal vessel, yard, gate and equipment operations, including yard allocation, stacking principles and container flow management.
  • Apply working knowledge of terminal operating systems, preferably Navis N4, XPS or equivalent applications, alongside Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Work effectively under pressure, respond constructively to changing priorities and remain available for rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

  • Develop expertise in vessel operations, operational planning and execution coordination.
  • Work closely with planning, equipment control and frontline operational teams to support safe and efficient vessel operations.
  • Build skills and experience that can support future progression towards a Shift Planning Supervisor role.

Yes. The match figure is for you, not for them - APM Terminals does not see it. The apply button works the same regardless of your match percentage.
Because boards rewrite titles when they republish. All copies of this vacancy are the same job at the same employer with the same closing date. We show the employer's own wording and list the rest above so you know you have already seen it.
It appears in your application tracker straight away. Because this application is handled here rather than on an external site, you will see the status change as APM Terminals moves it - viewed, shortlisted, interviewing or declined. Roles that redirect to an employer's own site cannot be tracked that way, and we say so on those listings.
