Account Payable (AP) Accountant

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.
• Manage statutory payments, including PAYE, Pension, VAT, and Withholding Tax.
• Oversee petty cash, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare accounts payable aging reports, commercial reports, and payment schedules.
• Monitor POS settlements and resolve payment discrepancies with banking partners.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Retail experience is an added advantage.
• Professional certification in progress (ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Zoho Books, Sage, or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
