Design Union is a real estate development group with divisions in Building design, construction, real estate development and hospitality. 

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, process daily transactions, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular bank, vendor, and intercompany account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss and balance sheets.
  • Compliance & Taxes: Prepare and file statutory returns (such as VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax filings) in compliance with relevant local regulations.
  • Auditing Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors by supplying required documentation, schedules, and explanations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support management with budget tracking, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. (1st or 2nd Class Upper) in Accounting/Finance
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA
  • Minimum of 5years’ post-qualification experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in the use of enterprise-wide accounting applications such as SAGE or SAP, Ms Office packages, and PowerPoint presentations.
