Multixept Associates Limited is an established Abuja architectural practice with over 25 years of professional delivery. We are creating an in house accountant role to bring financial control inside the business. It is a shared services appointment serving three legally separate businesses in architecture, construction and property development, each needing its own books, statutory registrations and audit trail

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full time
Report to: Managing Director (financial approvals) and Executive Director (operational compliance)

The Role

  • This is a build mandate before it is an operating mandate. There is no existing chart of accounts, accounting system or documented control process, and no handover from a previous accountant.
  • You will assess the current financial and statutory position of each business, establish the accounting system and controls, reconcile opening balances, and then run it with discipline: monthly and quarterly reporting, payroll, statutory remittances, payments made only against complete documentation, and support for audit and due diligence requests.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification and at least five years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience building financial systems and controls from scratch, not only operating an existing one
  • Current working knowledge of Nigerian statutory compliance: PAYE, pension, NSITF, NHF, VAT, withholding tax and company income tax, including the transition under the 2025 tax reform
  • Experience keeping separate records for several legal entities, with strict separation maintained at all times
  • Experience running payroll, and a firm discipline that no payment moves without a complete paper trail
  • Able to work with significant autonomy while accepting that final approval of material financial decisions rests with the Managing Director
  • Experience in professional services, construction or real estate development is an advantage. This is not a bookkeeping or maintenance role.
