Job Title: Accountant (ICAN Certified)

Job Description

• We are seeking to employ a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant (ICAN Certified) to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, and supporting effective financial decision-making in a fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
• Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
• Prepare and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT returns and ensure statutory compliance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit queries
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Provide financial insights and reports to the Head of Finance and management

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA (ICAN) certification is required
• 5–7 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, including QuickBooks, Oracle, and Zoho Books
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
