Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Pattern: Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales performance, ensure excellent customer service, manage inventory, supervise staff, and maintain operational standards.
• The successful candidate will act as second-in-command and oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales, profitability, and operational targets.
• Monitor daily store performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure product availability, proper merchandising, stock replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
• Control shrinkage, damages, expiry, wastage, and stock discrepancies.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, hygiene, store presentation, and safety.
• Supervise, coach, and coordinate staff to ensure productivity and effective shift deployment.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, cash controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review sales, stock, staffing, and operational reports.
• Assume responsibility for store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.

Requirements

• HND/BSc in Business Administration, Retail Management, Management Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail, FMCG, or store operations, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Proven experience in inventory management, sales monitoring, and team supervision.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, POS systems, and retail reporting tools.
• Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
