Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing day-to-day communication with clients, handling inquiries, and providing updates on shipment status. The role includes coordinating import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and liaising with internal teams and external partners to support smooth clearing and forwarding processes.
The officer will track deliveries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain accurate records to ensure on-time cargo movement and high service standards.
The role also involves identifying client needs, supporting basic sales activities, and contributing to long-term client relationships.
Requirements
Relevant Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
Ability to manage import/export documentation and related paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Import export processes and procedures, including coordination with carriers and regulatory bodies.
Understanding of international business practices and global trade regulations.
Experience or familiarity with import-export operations and clearing and forwarding activities.
Basic sales skills, including client engagement and support for service promotion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing responsibilities.
Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple shipments and deadlines.
Proficiency in common office software and digital tools for documentation and reporting.
Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field is an advantage.
