Role Description

  • The Facility Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Ikeja. This role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient functioning of hospital facilities, equipment, and building systems.
  • The Facility Technician will perform routine inspections, identify and troubleshoot defects, and carry out corrective actions to minimize downtime and safety risks.
  • The role includes coordinating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure that critical care areas, surgical suites, and support spaces remain safe, functional, and compliant with relevant standards.
  • The Facility Technician will also keep accurate maintenance records, support preventive maintenance programs, and assist external contractors when specialized services are required.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience in Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance.
  • Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in engineering, building services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, work collaboratively with clinical staff, and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic computer literacy for logging and tracking maintenance activities.
