Job Title: Finance Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• A Finance (or Financial) Accountant ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of an organization’s financial information.
• They support statutory reporting, internal decision‑making, and long‑term financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and statutory accounts.
• Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to assess financial health and identify trends.
• Manage budgets and forecasting, including variance analysis and financial projections.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management.
• Track KPIs such as profit margins, growth rates, and inventory turnover.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting software.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholder.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certifications is an added advantage.
• Experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance processes as well as experience in an audit firm with 5 years working experience.
