We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reconciliations, reporting, documentation, and transaction monitoring across our retail outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily reconciliation of branch sales, POS transactions, cash, bank transfers, and other payment collections.
Assist with inventory reconciliation and investigation of stock/value variances.
Assist with processing and reviewing invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.
Support the finance team with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Assist with data entry into the company's accounting/ERP system.
Identify discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues to the Finance Manager
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of an OND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
