Seven Up Bottling Company is one of the largest and oldest beverage manufacturing companies in Nigeria, operating nine automated bottling plants across the country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Specialist - Payables

Location: Lagos

Job summary

  • This role is a frontline controller of the company’s cash outflows, vendor relationships, and financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Invoice & GR/IR Processing: Accurately process and post OTC invoices within 24 hours of receipt, reduce payment errors by 90%, and complete Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) postings within 3 days while immediately flagging VAT, ERP, or price/quantity mismatches.
  • Vendor Reconciliations & Relationship Management: Perform routine vendor account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies (e.g., duplicate entries, missing invoices), and respond to vendor and regional queries within 24 hours.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure 100% tax compliance (VAT and WHT) across all postings and financial transactions.
  • Regional & Inter-Region Operations: Complete allocated regional postings within 4 days, clear 100% of inter-region postings prior to month-end closure, and ensure accurate descriptions on all outstanding reporting lines.
  • Document Management: Securely attach all supporting documentation to posted SAP transactions within 24 hours of posting.

Requirements

  • BSc/HND Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
