Job Title: Financial Reporting Officer

Location: Lagos

About the role

  • Coronation Merchant Bank is looking for a Financial Reporting Officer to join its Financial Reporting team in Lagos.
  • You will help produce accurate, timely financial statements and regulatory returns in line with IFRS and CBN requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns to the CBN and other regulators.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
  • Support month-end and year-end close and internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for all reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent qualification (part-qualified candidates will be considered).
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in financial reporting, banking or audit.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Finacle or a similar core banking system (an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
