Job Title: Geophysics Specialist - Level 3

Location: Nigeria

Description

  • Are you an experienced Geophysics Specialist with strong expertise in seismic interpretation, seismic inversion, and petroleum geology? This is an opportunity to contribute your technical knowledge to seismic and wellbore acquisition programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs.
  • Provide seismic survey acquisition solutions in collaboration with operating groups, technical specialists, and vendors.
  • Perform pre-stack and post-stack seismic inversion and AVO analysis.
  • Apply seismic attribute analysis to identify structural features, depositional environments, and facies.
  • Contribute expertise in carbonate reservoirs and unconventional plays.
  • Interpret gravity and magnetic data and support seismic processing and acquisition operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Geotechnical or Geophysical disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in a closely related position.
  • Strong geological and geophysical interpretation skills.
  • Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings.
  • Competency in geological computing applications, including Petrel.
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum geology, structural geology, and different reservoir types.
  • Excellent teamwork, mentoring, and coaching skills.
