Job Summary

• The Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the company’s internal audit activities to ensure compliance with established policies, effective internal controls, accurate financial records, and the protection of company assets.
• The role involves identifying financial and operational risks, investigating irregularities, evaluating business processes, and recommending improvements to strengthen accountability and operational efficiency across the company’s outlets, warehouse, production facilities, and other business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk-based audit plans and programmes.
• Supervise and coordinate audit activities across departments, outlets, warehouses, and production facilities.
• Review financial transactions, sales records, procurement activities, inventory movements, and operational processes.
• Evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Investigate suspected fraud, financial irregularities, stock discrepancies, and unauthorised transactions.
• Conduct periodic stock counts, asset verification, and financial reconciliations.
• Prepare audit reports highlighting findings, risks, control weaknesses, and recommendations.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on previous audit findings.
• Lead, supervise, and develop audit personnel to ensure effective performance.
• Collaborate with management and relevant departments to strengthen internal controls and minimise financial losses.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and prevent revenue leakages.
• Present significant audit findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5 – 8 years of relevant audit experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing, risk management, fraud detection, and internal controls.
• Experience in financial audits, inventory control, operational audits, and compliance monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or audit management software.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.

Salary
N600,000 - N650,000 per month.
