Job Title: Junior Electrician
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Electrician to join our team and support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems within an Oil & Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Support preventive and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
Assist senior electricians with electrical fault finding and repairs.
Carry out basic electrical measurements and testing using appropriate tools and instruments.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Ensure electrical work is performed in accordance with approved procedures, standards, and specifications.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work activities.
Strictly comply with HSE policies, electrical safety requirements, and Oil & Gas industry procedures.
Report unsafe conditions, electrical defects, and equipment abnormalities promptly.
Requirements
OND / HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of relevant electrical experience; experience in an Oil & Gas, industrial, marine, or process environment will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of electrical installations, motors, control panels, generators, cables, and protection systems.
