Project Description:

Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are essential partners in advancing reproductive health because of their community trust, local knowledge, geographic reach, and ability to connect people to accurate information, supportive services, and accountability mechanisms. Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation works with trusted CBOs and CSOs that are well-positioned to reach women, girls, young people, and underserved populations with essential sexual and reproductive health information and support. To broaden and diversify this network, Ipas Nigeria invites eligible CBOs and CSOs operating in the target states listed below to express their interest by providing the requested information.

This mapping aims to:

  1. Map CBOs and CSOs operating in the target states and relevant thematic areas.
  2. Identify each organization's primary and secondary programmatic focus areas.
  3. Assess organizations' geographic reach, relevant experience, demonstrated results, organizational capacity, and readiness for potential performance-based partnerships.
  4. Establish a roster of organizations that Ipas Nigeria may consider for future sub-grants, consultations, technical collaboration, or capacity strengthening.

Geographic focus: CSOs/CBOs based in, and working with communities in, the following states: Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Oyo and Ogun

Who can apply: To be considered, an organisation should:

  1. be a Nigerian non-governmental, not-for-profit community-based organisation, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission or the relevant state or LGA authority);
  2. have an office or active presence in at least one target state;
  3. have at least 4 years of community-level SRHR programme experience in one or more of the areas of interest;
  4. have a functioning governing board or committee, and a named leadership team;
  5. hold a bank account in the organisation's registered name;
  6. not be included on any government or donor exclusion or sanctions list.

Organisations led by women, young people, persons with disabilities or members of the communities they serve are strongly encouraged to apply.

What this call is not

  1. This is a mapping exercise.
  2. It is not a request for proposals, a request for quotations or a tender, and no budget is requested.
  3. Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee inclusion on the roster, an invitation to any future process, or any partnership, contract or funding.
  4. Ipas Nigeria may use, or not use, the roster at its discretion, and may also work with organisations that did not respond to this call.
  5. Applicants bear all costs of preparing and submitting their response.
  6. Ipas Nigeria does not charge any fee at any stage.

Areas of interest: Ipas Nigeria is interested in organizations with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Sexual and reproductive health and rights information and education;
  2. Contraception and family planning awareness, demand generation and referral;
  3. Abortion-related care and post-abortion care information and referral, Stigma reduction, within Nigerian law and national policies and guidelines;
  4. Prevention of and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), including survivor referral;
  5. Adolescent and youth SRH, including youth-friendly community engagement;
  6. Disability inclusion and work with marginalised or hard-to-reach groups;
  7. Community mobilisation, community intermediaries or peer education;
  8. Digital and social media health information campaigns;
  9. Policy and advocacy, social accountability, coalition building and engagement with government, community and religious leaders;
  10. work in humanitarian or internally displaced settings.

Questions about applying

They see your structured profile as it stands at the moment you apply, plus your CV if you have one attached. That snapshot is frozen - if you edit your profile next week, this application still shows what you sent today. Your salary expectation is never sent unless you choose to include it.
Yes. The match figure is for you, not for them - IPAS does not see it. The apply button works the same regardless of your match percentage.
Because boards rewrite titles when they republish. All copies of this vacancy are the same job at the same employer with the same closing date. We show the employer's own wording and list the rest above so you know you have already seen it.
It appears in your application tracker straight away. Because this application is handled here rather than on an external site, you will see the status change as IPAS moves it - viewed, shortlisted, interviewing or declined. Roles that redirect to an employer's own site cannot be tracked that way, and we say so on those listings.
This employer has not yet been checked against the corporate register. Regardless of any of that, no employer on this platform may ask you for money at any stage. If this one does, report it and tell us what they asked for.
