Summary
To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of diesel generator sets by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and engine overhauling in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
The role is responsible for minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining optimal genset performance, extending equipment service life, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform complete overhaul and preventive maintenance of diesel generatorsets.
Diagnose mechanical faultsand determine theroot cause ofengine problems.
Dismantleengines and inspectall major componentsfor wear, damage, and defects.
Carryout cylinder headservicing, valve grinding, valve clearance adjustment, and related repairs.
Requirements
Trade Test/TechnicalCertificate or OND inMechanical Engineering.
Carry out completeoverhaul of dieselgenerator engines accordingto manufacturer specifications.
Dismantle and inspectmajor engine components, including:
Cylinder head andvalves
Pistons and pistonrings
Connecting rods andbearings
Crankshaft and mainbearings
Camshaft and timingcomponents
Cylinder liners
Oil pump andwater pump
Salary
