Job Summary

• The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and automated systems across farm and processing operations.
• This role ensures maximum equipment availability, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency while minimizing unplanned downtime and production costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of the plant’s equipment to ensure continuous operations.
• Provide technical support ensuring that scheduled routine and turnaround maintenance programs are complied with.
• Set up operating and quality standards and ensure implementation.
• Determine necessary resources (workforce, inventory, parts, etc.) required
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Provide leadership for the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

• HND/B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related industry.
• Robust experience in Soya Oil Processing and Refining
