Job Summary

• Ikevora (formerly Starup Soar) is seeking a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious Private Driver to provide safe, punctual, and efficient transportation services.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for driving assigned vehicles, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness, planning routes, and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers.
• The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, punctuality, and a strong commitment to road safety and responsible vehicle handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport the employer, passengers, or other authorised persons to designated destinations.
• Ensure timely arrival for appointments, meetings, errands, and other scheduled journeys.
• Plan routes efficiently and stay informed about traffic conditions and alternative routes within Abuja.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentable condition of the assigned vehicle, both inside and outside.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, including checks on tyres, brakes, lights, oil, coolant, and fuel levels.
• Monitor vehicle servicing schedules and promptly report mechanical faults, damage, or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure the vehicle has sufficient fuel for scheduled journeys.
• Comply with traffic regulations, speed limits, parking rules, and all applicable road safety requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling personal or business-related information.
• Assist with loading and unloading luggage, packages, or other items when required.
• Keep accurate records of journeys, fuel purchases, mileage, and vehicle expenses where necessary.
• Ensure that the vehicle’s documents, insurance, and other required records are kept up to date in coordination with management.
• Report accidents, traffic incidents, delays, and other vehicle-related issues promptly.
• Carry out assigned driving-related errands and other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Nigerian driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Previous experience as a professional, personal, corporate, or executive driver is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Abuja roads, particularly Wuse 2 and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrable knowledge of defensive driving and road safety practices.
• Ability to use navigation applications such as Google Maps.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual, honest, trustworthy, and responsible.
• Neat, well-presented, and professional in conduct.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
• Physically fit to perform the duties associated with the role.
• No history of reckless driving or serious road safety violations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required, subject to agreed work arrangements.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly Salary: N150,000, depending on experience and suitability.
