Job Title: Production Floor Supervisor

Job Purpose

• To supervise and monitor all production floor activities, ensure workers maintain proper cleanliness and discipline, keep machines and surrounding areas clean, and coordinate with the QC team to maintain production quality and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
Worker Supervision & Discipline:

• Monitor all production workers and ensure they perform their duties properly.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality and professional behaviour on the production floor.
• Ensure workers follow company rules, safety procedures and instructions from management.
• Check that workers remain at their assigned workstations during working hours.
• Prevent unnecessary movement, arguments, mobile phone use and other distractions during production

Machine Cleanliness & Housekeeping:

• Ensure all machines are kept clean and free from dust, oil, grease and waste.
• Make sure workers clean their machines and surrounding areas regularly.
• Ensure proper housekeeping around injection moulding machines, conveyors, dryers and other production equipment.
• Check that no unwanted materials, scrap or waste are left on the production floor.
• Report oil leakage, unusual noise, damage or any unsafe machine condition to the maintenance team.
• Ensure cleaning is carried out without disturbing machine operation or compromising safety.

QC Team Coordination:

• Monitor the activities of all QC personnel working on the production floor.
• Ensure QC staff perform their assigned inspections and follow the required inspection procedures.
• Coordinate with the QC Head regarding quality issues, rejected products and corrective actions.
• Ensure rejected or suspected defective products are properly identified, separated and quarantined.
• Make sure production workers follow QC instructions and do not mix rejected products with approved products.
• Immediately report repeated quality problems to the Production Manager and QC Head.

Production Floor Monitoring:

• Regularly inspect all production areas and monitor daily activities.
• Ensure workers follow the instructions of machine operators and production supervisors.
• Check that production materials, finished products and rejected materials are kept in their designated areas.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
• Ensure shift handovers are properly completed and pending issues are communicated.
• Report machine stoppages, manpower shortages and operational problems to the Production Manager.

Daily Reporting Requirements:

• Both supervisors must maintain and submit daily reports covering:
• Worker attendance and discipline.
• Machine cleanliness and housekeeping status.
• QC team activities and inspection issues.
• Production floor safety and PPE compliance.
• Rejected products, material handling and quarantine status.
• Any operational problems requiring management attention.

Authority & Accountability:

• Instruct workers to correct housekeeping and discipline issues.
• Immediately report serious misconduct or repeated violations to the Production Manager.
• Coordinate with QC and Maintenance for issues requiring technical attention.
• Ensure all assigned production areas meet the company's cleanliness, discipline and safety requirements.

Job Specification

• 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a factory, Production, FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• ND/HND/BSC any discipline.
• Good understanding of production processes, workflow, machine operations, and production targets.
• Knowledge of quality control.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, motivate, and discipline factory workers effectively.
• Good verbal and written Communication skill.
• Ability to identify production problem, investigate causes and implement appropriate corrective action.
• Computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft excel, word, production reporting system and other basic digital tools.
• Discipline, physically fit for factory work, safety conscious, team – oriented, observant and able to work on shift and changing production realities.
