Job Purpose

• We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee quality control activities across raw materials, PET preform and bottle production, laboratory testing, finished products, and product release.
• The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards while driving defect prevention and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily QC activities and coordinate the work of QC personnel.
• Monitor compliance with approved quality procedures, specifications, inspection plans, and standards.
• Conduct and supervise in-process, first-off, changeover, and final product inspections.
• Monitor critical PET product parameters including weight, dimensions, neck finish, wall thickness, capacity, appearance, colour, and clarity.
• Identify, document, segregate, and control defective or non-conforming products and materials.
• Supervise inspection and verification of incoming raw materials, including PET resin, masterbatch, additives, preforms, and packaging materials.
• Review COAs, COCs, inspection results, and test reports.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, including weight, dimensions, leakage, top-load, burst/pressure, drop/impact, and other product-specific tests.
• Investigate quality failures and recurring defects using 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto, CAPA, and PDCA techniques.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions and monitor their effectiveness.
• Supervise finished product inspection, product release, batch traceability, and retention sample management.
• Investigate customer quality complaints and coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate QC records, reports, NCRs, CAPA records, test results, and quality KPIs.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Stores, and other departments to resolve quality issues and improve product quality.
• Ensure quality records and processes are audit-ready.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Polymer/Materials Science, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in PET bottle/preform manufacturing, plastic packaging, polymer manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical packaging, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in PET preform/bottle production and quality control is strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising QC personnel and managing non-conformities, CAPA, customer complaints, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO/Quality Management Systems and quality improvement tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
• Willingness to work across production, laboratory, warehouse, stores, and other operational areas as required.
