Job Summary
The YB Yard Manager will be responsible for the overall operations and commercial performance of the YB Yard, an outdoor food, beverage, and leisure section of YB Fitness & Wellness Centre offering barbecue/grilled food, cocktails, mocktails, drinks, and other refreshments.
The role will oversee daily operations, sales, customer experience, inventory, cost control, staff performance, hygiene, and service quality to ensure the Yard operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the YB Yard, including the grill/BBQ, bar, food and beverage, and customer service areas.
Drive sales and achieve agreed revenue and profitability targets.
Ensure consistent food and beverage quality, presentation, portion control, and service standards.
Manage inventory, stock levels, purchasing requirements, wastage, and stock reconciliation.
Monitor daily sales, cash/POS transactions, expenses, and ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting.
Supervise, schedule, train, and manage Yard staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
Ensure excellent customer experience and promptly resolve customer complaints or service issues.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, health, and safety.
Support the planning and execution of Yard events, promotions, special offers, and activities to increase customer traffic and sales.
Monitor operational and commercial performance and provide regular reports and recommendations to management.
Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and report faults or operational issues promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
HND/Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in restaurant, bar, lounge, hospitality, food and beverage, or leisure operations, with supervisory/managerial experience.
Experience in sales, inventory management, cost control, and customer service.
Good understanding of food and beverage operations and basic financial reporting.
