Postings that look like ghosts

Live for 60+ days and mirrored across 2+ sources. Often means: pipeline-fillers, sourcing evergreens, or listings the employer forgot to close. Not a guarantee of a scam - a hint that you may not be prioritised.

What makes a job a "ghost job"

A ghost job is a posting that stays live long after it should have been filled or withdrawn. In Nigeria the common causes are: sourcing evergreens (companies always take engineering CVs), pipeline-fillers for future hires, roles that got hiring-frozen but never had the posting pulled, or - less charitably - postings kept live for PR / vanity metrics.

This tool uses our reconciled corpus to spot the pattern: same role, live 60+ days, mirrored across 2+ sources. It is a hint, not a verdict. Sometimes a legit role really does take 90 days to fill. But if you see the same posting on 4 sites for 4 months, your application is competing with the resume pile, not the current hiring urgency.
