Retirement Calculator (Nigeria)
Nigerian retirement calculator
Project your RSA (Retirement Savings Account) balance at retirement age. Adjusts for salary growth and inflation.
How Nigerian pension works under PenCom
Under the Pension Reform Act, every employer (3+ staff) contributes 10% of gross to your RSA and deducts 8% of your gross as your contribution. Total: 18% of gross saved monthly on your behalf, managed by a licensed Pension Fund Administrator (PFA). At retirement (typically 60), you can draw a lump sum plus a monthly programmed withdrawal or annuity.
This calculator projects your RSA compounded at your PFA's average return. A replacement rate of 60-70% (your monthly draw as % of final salary) is comfortable. Under 40% means you'll need to work longer, save more voluntarily, or take on lifestyle cuts. The AVC (Additional Voluntary Contribution) is the easiest lever - tax-deductible and stays in your RSA.
