We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Aba, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
• Process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, management accounts, and schedules.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation and approval of transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with tax documentation, statutory compliance, and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of relevant work experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Salary
N250,000 - N400,000 / month.
