Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• He or she must be well-organised, reliable, and skilled with the latest accounting principles and processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Maintain all accounting records.
• Carry out daily reconciliation of all sales proceeds i.e. cash or electronic payment to ensure the correctness of all transactions.
• Carry out on-the-spot assessment of the Cashiers to ensure the accuracy of their transactions.
• Keep a record of all accounting transactions.
• Must have an understanding of Accounting principles and procedures
• Understanding of tax process
• Should be able to design a payroll template manually for a starter
• Carry out weekly stock reconciliation etc.
• Carry out daily reconciliation of all sales lodgments i.e. cash or electronic payments,to ensure the correctness of all transactions.

Qualification and Skills

• HND/B.Sc. in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience on the job.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Attention to detail and good record management.
• Familiar with Sage or any accounting softwares
• Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Office packages
