Coldroom and Sales Operation Manager

The mission of Vetsark is to transform agriculture and health in Africa. Vetsark innovates, develops and implements agriculture and health data collection and analysis projects and contracts in collaboration with governments and private organizations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Coldroom & Sales Operation Manager 

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

• You will run Vetsark’s coldroom as a profitable business unit: selling chicken and fish, keeping stock accurate and fresh, getting orders to B2B and B2C customers on time, and making sure we always have the right products sourced from our farmers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
Sales:

• Drive sales of chicken and fish to B2B (restaurants, hotels, retailers, caterers, institutions) and B2C customers
• Grow and manage the customer base, take orders, and follow up on repeat business
• Track daily sales, collections and receivables, and meet monthly revenue targets

Coldroom and Inventory:

• Manage day-to-day coldroom operations, including temperature control, hygiene and equipment upkeep
• Keep accurate stock records (receiving, storage, dispatch) using FIFO and minimise spoilage and shrinkage
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory against sales and cash

Delivery and Logistics:

• Plan and coordinate deliveries for B2B and B2C orders, including routes, riders and vehicles
• Ensure cold-chain integrity from coldroom to customer
• Resolve delivery issues and customer complaints promptly

Sourcing and Vendor Management:

• Plan sourcing based on demand forecasts and stock levels
• Coordinate supply from Vetsark farmers and approved vendors, including pickup, quality checks and processing
• Negotiate with and manage suppliers, logistics partners and service providers

Reporting:

• Submit daily and weekly reports on sales, stock, deliveries and sourcing

Requirements

• HND / BSc in Agriculture, Business, Supply Chain or a related field
• 3+ years’ experience in sales, cold-chain, FMCG, frozen foods or protein distribution
• Proven record of meeting sales targets and managing inventory
• Strong knowledge of Lagos markets and logistics
• Good numeracy and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and inventory tools
• Organised, hands-on, trustworthy, and comfortable working under pressure

Nice to Have:

• Experience with poultry or fish processing and handling
• Existing network of B2B buyers (hotels, restaurants, supermarkets).
