Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

Description

• The Contracts Lawyer’s primary function is to provide adequate support and practical advice geared towards the effective and efficient management of the risks and legal needs of the Company as well as day to-day administrative and other legal support on various transactions and corporate projects/assignments under the direction of the Company Secretary Legal Adviser.
• The incumbent is responsible for the preparation, and review of contracts, legal opinions, policies, procedures, and other documents etc. as well as contractual negotiation and must be able to produce work output that falls within the bounds of the company legal posture.

Qualifications Experience

• 1st Degree in Law; BL. LLM may be an added advantage.
• #7 years in-house oil and gas legal work experience within the legal department of reputable and structured business environment
• International exposure by way of LLB, #LLM or post BL work experience will be an advantage
• Understanding of local, national, and international laws and regulations pertaining to Oil Gas will be an advantage.
• Ability to perform comprehensive legal analysis.
• Very strong effective business communication (verbal and writing skills)
• Ability to plan and execute complex assignments under pressure.
• Ability to exercise initiative in prioritizing and executing work, strong self-starter requiring little supervision and follow up
• Demonstrated business acumen and superior judgment.
