We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Cost Accountant, FSC
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse production costs and compare actual costs against budgets and standard costs.
- Prepare product costing, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports.
- Review procurement and production costs to ensure accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend measures to improve profitability.
- Maintain accurate cost accounting records, reports, and databases.
- Support audits, month-end and year-end financial activities.
- Prepare regular cost and management reports for decision-making.
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years experience in Cost Accounting, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production costing, inventory management, procurement, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 monthly.
