Job Title: Deputy Managing Director - Stockbroking
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Description
- The Deputy Managing Director (DMD) will serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, driving business growth, operational excellence, and market expansion for Goldenbridge Stockbroking Limited.
- The role requires a seasoned female executive (age range 40–50) with a proven track record in leading successful business development initiatives across both local and international capital markets.
- The DMD will play a critical leadership role in strengthening the firm’s market positioning, deepening client relationships, and spearheading innovative strategies for revenue growth and cross-border market penetration.
Regulatory & Governance Responsibilities
SEC Compliance & Licensing Oversight:
- Ensure continuous compliance with SEC Rules and Regulations for Broker/Dealer Operations.
- Maintain validity of all operating licenses and registrations.
- Oversee timely filing of statutory returns, including financial reports and disclosures to SEC.
- Ensure adherence to minimum capital requirements and capital adequacy thresholds.
NGX Trading & Market Conduct Compliance:
- Ensure strict compliance with NGX trading rules, including:
- Order execution standards
- Trade reporting and transparency
- Market manipulation and insider trading prohibitions
- Supervise trading activities to ensure alignment with best execution practices.
- Ensure proper use and governance of NGX trading platforms and systems.
Corporate Governance & Risk Management:
- Support implementation of SEC’s Code of Corporate Governance for Capital Market Operators.
- Promote a strong internal control environment across all business units.
- Oversee enterprise risk management framework (market, operational, credit, and compliance risks).
- Ensure independence and effectiveness of compliance and internal audit functions.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & KYC Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with AML/CFT regulations and SEC AML guidelines.
- Oversee robust Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for all clients (local and foreign).
- Ensure reporting of suspicious transactions to appropriate authorities (e.g., NFIU).
Investor Protection & Client Asset Safeguarding:
- Ensure segregation of client funds and firm assets in line with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accurate client reporting and disclosure practices.
- Ensure prompt resolution of client complaints in line with SEC/NGX frameworks.
Fit & Proper Leadership Standards:
- Maintain and demonstrate “Fit and Proper Person” status as required by SEC:
- Proven integrity and ethical conduct
- Financial soundness
- Relevant competence and experience
- Ensure senior management and key officers meet regulatory approval requirements.
Strategic & Business Responsibilities:
- Drive growth strategies that are fully compliant with Nigerian and international capital market regulations.
- Lead expansion into international markets in line with cross-border regulatory requirements.
- Develop compliant investment products and services aligned with SEC approvals.
- Strengthen institutional client base while maintaining strict regulatory adherence.

- Zero or minimal regulatory infractions or penalties

Qualifications & Regulatory Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related fields (MBA preferred).
- Must be registered with the SEC as a Sponsored Individual (or eligible for registration).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIS, CFA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 - 20 years’ experience in capital markets, with at least 8–10 years in executive leadership
- Demonstrable experience dealing with SEC and NGX regulatory frameworks.
Key Competencies (Regulatory Focus):
- Deep knowledge of SEC Rules and NGX Trading Regulations
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk, and governance frameworks
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Strong stakeholder engagement with regulators and market institutions

Reporting & Regulatory Interface
Acts as a primary liaison with:
- Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria
- Nigerian Exchange Group
- Other relevant bodies (CSCS, NSE Regulation Limited, etc.).
