Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Geophysicist III to support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and wellbore seismic acquisition programmes.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with operating teams, technical specialists, and vendors to deliver safe and effective seismic survey solutions aligned with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply post-stack and pre-stack seismic inversion and Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) techniques.
• Perform seismic attribute analysis to interpret structural features, depositional environments, and facies.
• Apply advanced geophysical knowledge to carbonate reservoirs and unconventional plays.
• Support seismic acquisition, processing, and geological interpretation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Geotechnical or Geophysical disciplines.
• Relevant experience in geophysics or a closely related role.
• Strong geological and geophysical interpretation skills.
• Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings.
• Proficiency in Petrel and relevant geoscience computing applications.
• Experience interpreting gravity and magnetic data.
• Strong knowledge of structural geology, petroleum geology, seismic processing, and seismic acquisition operations.
• Excellent teamwork, mentoring, and coaching skills.
