Job Title: Head of Technician
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Overview
- The Chief Technician is to provide leadership and direction for the setting up and maintaining of electrical infrastructure in the company.
- Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, the job holder must be first and foremost be a responsible individual with great attention to safety precautions.
- The job holder must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
- The Chief Technician is to oversee all the Technicians, Electricians and Engineers in Lagos
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance.
- Computer diagnostics on cooling units and generator.
- Supervision of technical team during mechanical and electrical emergencies.
- Daily inspection of electrical and mechanical machines and equipment.
- Supervision of ongoing technical jobs (both internal and external)
- Collation of daily meter readings and calculations of units used daily
- Attendance and presentation of occurrence within the technical department at the weekly managerial meetings
- Supervision the supply of diesel
- Installation of new electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Supervision of all the Technicians, Electricians and Engineers in Lagos.
Desired Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 - 10 years previous experience as an Engineer.
- Proven experience as an Engineer
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Leadership skills
- Dedication to duty
- The job holder will work under the supervision of the external engineer and report to the CMD and Admin Manager but is also expected to use his/her initiative.
- The job holder will be responsible for sending report to the Admin Manager.
Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 monthly.
